We offer all types of building alterations, including extensions, loft conversions and full house refurbishment. Our family run team consists of a variety of quality tradesmen. We also occasionally use some local tried and tested subcontractors. Some of whom have worked with us for over ten years. All work not only comes with a years guarantee but also come with Gas and Electrical certification.
Specialist Kitchens and Bathrooms
We specialise in all aspects of Bathroom and Kitchen design, complete refurbishment, fully tanked wet rooms and all tiling. We have built up great relationships with many of the local bathroom, Kitchen and tile suppliers. This means we can pass on extra discounts of up to 30% to our customers. Often you’ll only have to choose the products you like and we can take care of the rest. We are also approved fitters for John Lewis and many of the biggest suppliers. We are also proud members of the British institute for Kitchen, Bedroom and Bathrooms.
Thank you Richard, James and Clive for doing such a wonderful job with our dream house. Attention to detail was perfect, I only have great praise for them. As it was such it big job and it was difficult for us to imagine how it would look at the end, we needed to make so many changes and they were very accommodating to our needs and worked with us so we could get exactly what we needed. I love how they built both fires in the kitchen and lounge to have the old look with the new, it really brings warmth to both rooms and make the house feel cosy. All bathrooms fitting and tiling was done very professionally, great job. Also very happy with the fitted wardrobes they made, very strong and built to last, great attention to detail again. The Attic with the dormer window was a big job as the floor needed steel beams to strengthen the floor and it was finished for perfection, great room for meditation, art or exercising. Really happy I went with RJL Builders, the quality of craftmanship was excellent, as a family business they work exceptionally well together and they are very clean and were very respectful of the house us. We were very happy with the price they quoted. I will definitely be using them again in the future. They also were able to recommend good quality suppliers where they could give us a great discount. As this was a big extension there were many changes that needed to be made internally after the architect had drawn up the plans and they were able to help us and just made the process so easy. They really did make our dream house, thank you.

Richard and his team replaced our ageing bathroom and did a fantastic job. He gave great advice on the layout, and fittings and fixtures (several times identifying places that sold what we wanted more cheaply). They were polite, conscientious, tidy, efficient and gave us a huge amount of confidence right from the start that they would deliver. And they really did. Four transformational projects successfully completed; one architect-managed en-suite; one modern bathroom based on just a picture from a magazine; one downstairs toilet using reclaimed heritage materials; and one bespoke tiled entrance hall; all to the highest standard, on time and on price; clean and tidy both on the job and when finished. We've had two bathrooms done, two years apart. Richard was hugely helpful in the design stage, thinking along with us and suggesting great solutions.Not the cheapest quote, but the best value in the end. No extra charges, no fuss and all work done to high quality standards.Really clean while working and totally trustworthy. Very happy to use them again, especially as they do more than bathrooms. We look for our next house knowing we have a really good builder to help us renovate.

RJL Construction completed a Large L-Shaped Extension this year and I can not recommend them highly enough!!. Richard and James are professional and reliable people. The workmanship by the whole team is Great!!...When deciding to have an extension it can be a daunting process allowing someone into your home for 3 months, but I can honestly say RLJ Construction were a pleasure to have complete the work. Nothing was too much trouble and we were always kept informed on the stages. If you are considering any building work and want a professional job contact Richard and James.
